On the first Advent weekend, 27 to 29 November 2026, the Christmas market lights up Wolfratshausen's old town. Here are opening hours, the programme and the Advent markets in Beuerberg and Benediktbeuern – all a short drive from the Schlossquelle in Königsdorf.

Wolfratshausen marks the start of Advent with a compact, very atmospheric market: for three days the Marktstraße in the old town between the Loisach river and the Bergwald turns into a lane of wooden stalls with fairy lights, the scent of mulled wine and Christmas music. The market is deliberately short – if you want to experience it, plan the first Advent weekend in.
According to the local events calendar, the Wolfratshausen town band plays Christmas music at the opening on Friday from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. Times are taken from the calendar of the Lebendige Altstadt Wolfratshausen; short-notice changes are possible, so check the websites of the town or Tölzer Land Tourismus before you go.
Just a few kilometres from Königsdorf lies Beuerberg Abbey. According to Tölzer Land Tourismus, the Beuerberg Advent market 2026 runs on two weekends: 27 to 29 November and 4 to 6 December. It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm. The baroque abbey and the Advent atmosphere make it a lovely spot for a relaxed afternoon – and the way home is short.
From Königsdorf, Benediktbeuern is about 20 minutes by car. If you have time afterwards, continue to Lake Kochel – ideas in our Walchensee & Kochelsee guide.
Back at the Schlossquelle, free parking and our EV charger mean you can leave the car overnight. Dogs are welcome with us too – on busy evenings a short lead helps at the markets.
